GENEROSITY BREATHES
The story begins miles from Los Angeles, in a place that makes you slow down by looking at it. Il Palagio, Sting and Trudie Styler's estate in Tuscany, came alive at the One Drop Gala through the images on display: rolling vineyards, gold light across the hills, and the quiet confidence of a property restored with care. Their wine, Sacred Love 2021, carried the same feeling, dark berries, violets, slate, long silky tannins, a mix of elegance and edge that matched the visuals perfectly. Next to it came VIK from Chile's "place of gold," a winery known for big architecture, bold precision, and a landscape that looks as dramatic as the wine tastes. The VIK 2021 vintage brought red and black fruit, cracked pepper, minerality layered and confident, the same way the estate presents itself. Both bottles weren't just part of the menu; they helped shape the atmosphere of the One Drop Gala. The wines weren't just poured; they were donated, shared, and offered with meaning attached. VIK’s and Sting and Trudie Styler’s contributions weren't quiet gestures; they were part of the evening's heartbeat, weaving artistry, generosity, and storytelling directly into One Drop's mission. Then Los Angeles came back into focus. Inside the Audrey Irmas Pavilion, that mix of global vineyards and local energy built the foundation of the gala. And in the middle of all of it, the reason of One Drop: clean water. Real impact. A cause big enough to bring cultural leaders into the same room and make them feel connected to the work.

“Access to safe water is one of the most fundamental human rights, yet it remains out of reach for far too many people around the world. The work that the One Drop Foundation is doing to change that is both vital and inspiring. We hope it helps raise significant funds for One Drop’s life-changing projects and reminds us all of the power of creativity and generosity to make a difference.”

In the evening Christie’s led auction brought its own rare treasures. A 2014 horizontal of three magnums from Domaine de la Romanée–Conti: La Tâche, Richebourg, and Romanée-St-Vivant, offered collectors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own some of Burgundy’s most revered expressions. Complementing this was an exclusive Double Magnum of Château Margaux 2000, a 100-point First Growth hailed as one of the greatest vintages of modern Bordeaux, with layers of blackcurrant, violets, cedar, and graphite. Adding a unique harmony of music and craftsmanship, a handcrafted Paoletti electric bass guitar signed by Sting offered one lucky bidder the chance to own a one-of-a-kind instrument, its chestnut wood reclaimed from wine barrels at Il Palagio, fusing sound, history, and artistry.
