The Spring/ Summer campaign from Valentino moves in another direction. It begins with something simpler, and far more true: the moment we lose balance. Falling is universal. Not always in an intense way, but in the small ways life shifts under our feet. Balance, after all, is never permanent. It’s a brief moment between movements, something we’re constantly adjusting. In this campaign, that feeling becomes the central image. The cast appear suspended in time, caught in the instant just before gravity takes over inside the grand historic building. The tension is silent but unmistakable. Elegance is still there, but it feels alive, as if it could break at any moment.
That idea, shaped by creative director Alessandro Michele, isn’t about dramatizing fragility. It’s about recognizing something honest: none of us really stands alone. Stability depends on something or someone else. That’s where the emotion of the campaign lives. A hand reaching out. When balance slips, what matters most is who is there to catch you. Instead of pretending strength means standing perfectly upright, the campaign proposes something softer and more real. Sometimes elegance and quality are the ability to hold each other up. The clothes move within that idea. They don’t fight gravity; they stand with it. In the world of Valentino, falling doesn’t signal failure. It reveals something deeper; beauty can exist in moments of uncertainty, and real strength often appears when we stop pretending we can carry everything on our own.
